The Nokia N78 cellphone will be available for purchase beginning in April 2008 (”Q2 2008″). Or is it? We’re now in the month of May 2008 and no official word yet on when the N78 will hit retail shelves in the United States. When it does, you’ll find it here first!
The Nokia N78 is expected to ship in the second quarter this year for about $500 unlocked.

The default retail package should include:
- Nokia N78 (including Nokia 2GB microSD Card MU-37)
- Nokia Battery BL-6F
- Nokia Travel Charger AC-5
- Nokia Music Headset HS-45/AD-54
- Nokia Connectivity Cable CA-101
- User guide
- Quick Start guide
- DVD
In addition, the Nokia N78 includes the Nokia Music Store, Nokia Maps, and Share on Ovi, a new online service that lets you share your personal media. The Nokia N78 offers A-GPS with Nokia Maps, WLAN and high-speed HSPDA 3G connectivity.
But that’s not all! The Nokia N78 also offers geotagging, which allows you to capture a location as an image. View the capture location on either a map located within the Nokia N78 or access your geotags online. A 3.2-megapixel camera supports Carl Zeiss optics. Internal speakers (and support for standard 3.5 mm headphones) capable of playing Nokia Internet Radio, which provides you with access to thousands of radio stations worldwide, are also standard with the Nokia N78.
Stay tuned for more updates as the Nokia N78 is made available to the general public.
